Macy McGrail is an actor, comedian, singer, writer, and native New Yorker. Born and raised in the theatre district, Macy has spent her whole life surrounded by the arts. She launched her professional career at nine with a commercial that gained worldwide attention ("Camp Gyno" - #1 video on Youtube for a moment in time!), and went on to perform in commercials, voiceovers, and professional theatre. She graduated from LaGuardia High School’s Drama Studio in 2021, where she performed in principal roles in two mainstage musicals. Macy is a senior at Boston University's School of Theatre and expects to graduate in 2025 with a BFA in Acting, a concentration in Musical Theatre, and Shakespeare training from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
At Boston University, Macy discovered her love of improv, sketch comedy, and all forms of comedic writing. She is a three-year member of Spontaneous Combustion, the School of Theatre’s audition-based improv team, and she was a writer and performer for Going Down, BU’s first late-night sketch comedy show. During the Summer of 2023, as Grace Bellamy, the "bachelorette" of Sterling Renaissance Festival’s Wyldewood Players, Macy further explored her passion for improv and for 1585 Warwick, England.
